The Christmas Crib 2009      The Sanctuary at Christmas 2009

During the 19 days leading up to Christmas the figures of Mary & Joseph are passed around the homes of children in the Duloe village who provide them with shelter until, on Christmas Eve, they find their way to the church and so to the crib. This practice originated in South America and was introduced into Britain by the Church Army - the custom is known as Posada and it is a delightful way of involving youngsters in the story of Christmas.
